As a result of the pandemic, many further and higher education providers have been assessing their ability to deliver learning online. However, not all staff may feel they have the digital capabilities (or confidence) required to facilitate learning in these different contexts.

To address these challenges, Jisc has worked with colleagues from across further and higher education to develop and launch a new question set in the building digital capability service discovery tool. The question set is aimed at teaching staff and provides an opportunity for staff to reflect on their confidence and capabilities to plan, design, deliver and assess online learning. Even if staff haven’t yet undertaken the activities offered, the questions aim to provide a hint of good practice or options that they could try.

The question set is now live and you can find out more about the launch from our blog. A closer look at the new question set will be provided at the next community of practice webinar on 24 September 2020.

If you are interested in finding out more about the new question set, or any aspect of the building digital capability service, please get in touch and the team will contact you.
